Roselin B. McDougald passed away to be with the Lord on Monday, January 29, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. Roselin was born in Bay County, Frankenlust Township on September 28, 1918 to the late Henry and Veronica (Mueller) Hoppe. On August 14, 1937 she was married to Harold A. McDougald, he preceded her in death on March 23, 1991 after 53 years of marriage. She was a lifetime member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church and enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening.
Roselin is survived by two granddaughters and their husbands, Sarah and Craig Jacobs of New River, Arizona and Deborah and Robert Shelton of Highland, Michigan; two great grandsons, Logan and Brian Jacobs; three nephews, Thomas and David Miller and Dale Malpass; nine great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, John H. McDougald on June 29, 1997; sister, Hildegard Miller; brother, Charles Hoppe; sisters-in-law, Ellen Miller and Bernice Malpass and nephew Thomas Malpass.
Funeral and Committal service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Joel Pankow. Private burial will take place in Floral Garden Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Roselin will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
