MONAGHAN (McDonald), Rosemary formerly of Saginaw died in Jackson, Michigan at age 83. Rosemary was born September 11, 1926 to Joseph and Ruth McDonald. She married her beloved husband, Robert Monaghan (of Bay City) on April 15, 1950 at St Mary's of Saginaw, Michigan. Rosemary was a modern career woman with uncompromising values, a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and a role model to many. She advanced in her career because of her leadership, strong sense of fairness, personable responsibility and the courage to always do the right thing regardless of circumstance. Rosemary was an unwaveringly loyal and proud defender of her family, an advocate and confidant for her children and grandchildren. She provided a loving structured home with rich warm traditions, and instilled in her children impeccable manners, a strong work ethic, values, humor and a sense of personal responsibility. She retired as an administrator from the University of Michigan Hospital in 1984 after 20 years of service. In retirement, she enjoyed her grandchildren, baking, traveling, crocheting, reading and summering in East Tawas City Park. She will be profoundly missed by her husband Robert; one brother, Judge Joseph McDonald; one sister, Patricia Goulet; four sons: Michael (Ruth), Shaun (Stephanie), James (Joline), Brian; 11 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Rosemary was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur McDonald and Judge Gary McDonald and by five sisters: Beryl McDonald, Marge Rilko, Dorothy Stevens, Gerry Devos, and Nancy O'Neil.
