Rosemary Wackerle, of Linwood, passed away Thursday March 24, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center, age 81. The daughter of the late John & Sarah (Roe) Provo, she was born December 24, 1929 in Linwood. Rosemary was a member of St. Valentine Catholic Church in Kawkawlin. She was married to Lyle W. Wackerle and he preceded her in death on March 13, 1993. Rosemary's life centered on her family and the family farm. Rosemary is survived by her six children, Linda (Roy) Dubay of Pinconning, Lila (Larry) Scherzer of Linwood, Catherine (Dennis) Rezmer of Pinconning, Jill Evenson & Umit Bilge of Ocala, Fl, Dale Wackerle of Pinconning and Kevin (Mary) Wackerle of Linwood; 14 grandchildren, Aaron Dubay, Monica Caldwell, Jeramy Dubay, Melissa Pomranky, Holly Collins, April York, Dennis Rezmer, Jr., Jeffery Rezmer, Heidi Staley, Heather Starr, Jessica Stark, Eric Wackerle, Lyle Wackerle and Olivia Wackerle; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; 10 step-grandchildren; seven sisters, Dorothy Teranyi, Charlotte (Bill) Billingsley, Rebecca (Bob) Szeszulski, Kay (Fred) Jeske, Deanna (Monte) Mondeau, Shelly Provo and Pansy Provo; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Wackerle and Verena (Jim) Dinsmore; two brothers-in-law, Sam (Lorraine) Wackerle and Matt (Gloria) Wackerle; and several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Rosemary was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bill Evenson; a grandson, Ian Staley; three sisters, Cecelia (Frances) Syskowski, Martha Provo and Evelyn Provo; two brothers, Edward Provo and Addison Provo; and a brother-in-law, Bill Teranyi. The Funeral Liturgy & Rite of Committal will take place at 10:00am on Monday March 28, 2011 at St. Valentine Catholic Church, 1010 S. Nine Mile Rd., Kawkawlin. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Chester J. Pilarski. Private interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00pm. The Vigil for the Deceased will be held on Sunday at 7:00pm. Mrs. Wackerle will lie instate at the church on Monday from 9:00am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
