Ruby Everson passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the Carriage House Nursing Home at the age of 80 years. The daughter of the late Ellsworth and Anna Starkweather was born December 8, 1931 in Bay City. Ruby retired as the Religious Education Director at Visitation Catholic Church and was an active Lay Minister for the Diocese of Saginaw. Ruby enjoyed spending time with her family, walking the Bay City Rail Trail and traveling with her twin sister Ruth as members of the International Twins Association. She is survived by her husband of sixty two years; Clayton Everson, her four children and their spouses; Tom Everson, Lynette (Mark) Maul, Pam (Peter) Schuster, Trisha (Patrick) Hadley, her grandchildren; Angela (Eric) Harris, Jeffrey Maul, Bethany and Andrew Schuster, her great grandchildren; Daniel Gillman and Benjamin Harris. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by all of her siblings. A Memorial Liturgy will take place Monday, November 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. George J. Serour with inurnment following in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be present at the church on Monday to receive family and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
