Russell O. Schmidt

Russell O. Schmidt Toney, Alabama Formerly of Saginaw Russell O. Schmidt, formerly of Saginaw, passed away on Feb. 18, 2014, age 92. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian G. Schmidt and his parents Oscar and Anna Schmidt. Mr. Schmidt is survived by his daughter Shelby Schmidt of Toney, Alabama. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Russ Spann and his wife Stephanie of Nashville, Tn., Dana Holladay and her husband Jeff of Toney, Alabama, Brady Spann of Nashville, Tn. and a great granddaughter, Sloan Holladay. The Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Officiating will be Rev. Paul D. Theiss with interment following in the St. Paul Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Mr. Schmidt will lie instate at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
