Ruth Geraldine Arnold

Arnold, Ruth Geraldine Bay City, Michigan Ruth passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Evergreen Pines Adult Foster Care Home. Age 92 years. The daughter of the late Ernest and Virginia (Manor) Julian was born April 13, 1919 in Bay City. She was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church. Ruth was employed at Arland's Department Store, Grey Iron Foundry and Tip Top Restaurant. She enjoyed sewing and crafts. She is survived by her seven children; Ruthann Arnold, Bob (Janet) Arnold, Marion (Mike) Howay, Sandy (George) Lundy, Joan (Dennis) Anderson, Leon A. Arnold Jr. and Michael (Debra) Arnold, twenty two grandchildren, forty eight great grandchildren, sixteen great great grandchildren, her special friend; Helen. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Leon Arnold whom passed away on November 26, 1981, and her step father; Emil Metevia, her daughter-in-law; Penny Arnold.The family would like to extend a special Thank you to Mike and Debra, Evergreen Pines Adult Foster Care Home and staff including; Terry, Anna, Betsy, Nadine, Rachelle, Nate and Chris and the residents for the kind and compassionate care given to our loved one during her time of need. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Saturday, November 26, 2011at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Stephen J. Fillion with the Rite of Committal following in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ruth will be taken to church on Saturday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
