Ruth Greenhoe

GREENHOE, Ruth I. of Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. Greenhoe passed away Friday morning January 29, 2010 at Brian's House following a three year battle with cancer, age 82. The daughter of the late Auldy & Ethel (Stahl) Messecar, she was born August 16, 1927 in Ithaca. On April 6, 1946 Ruth married Kenneth J. Greenhoe and he preceded her in death on February 13, 2002. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and worked as a distributor for Vanda Beauty Counselor. Ruth was a loving wife and a nurturing mother and grandmother, always endearing herself to family and friends. Mrs. Greenhoe is survived by her daughters, Sharon (William) Ashworth of Higgins Lake and Kennetha 'Kay' (Thomas) Johnson of Bay City; two grandsons, Jacob and Kyle Johnson; a sister, Virginia (Robert) King; a sister-in-law, Betty Crispin; a brother-in-law, Roy Lein-weber; Laura and Kristin and many other nieces & nephews. Ruth was also preceded in death by a sister, Myrna Leinweber. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Ann Connaghan and her staff for the special care they gave to Ruth. Ruth's family will receive friends during a time of remembrance from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday February 5, 2010 at the Gephart Funeral Home.
