Ruth I. Grew

Mrs. Grew passed away Tuesday May 4, 2010 at Covenant Healthcare Harrison in Saginaw, age 85. The daughter of the late Frank & Edna (Armbruster) Kemmerling, she was born June 5, 1924 in Wellington, Ohio. Ruth was a member of South Baptist Church and was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of M.O.P.H. #514. On October 12, 1951 she married Chester J. Grew and he preceded her in death on November 7, 1991. Mrs. Grew is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Grew; two brothers, James Brown of Snover, MI and Bruce & Lola Brown of Ubly, MI; and her nieces & nephews, Ruthan & Dale Miller, Dorie & John Brinkler, Lonnie Brown, James & Linda Brown, Betty & Gary Marston, Matthew Brown, Mark Brown and Joanne Parker. Ruth was also preceded in death by her sister, Florence Kemmerling; a sister-in-law, Marie Brown; and a nephew, Bruce Brown, Jr. Ruth's family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Lincare and also to Dr. Damuth, Carol & staff for the special care she received. A memorial service will take place at 12:30pm on Wednesday May 12, 2010 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Brian W. Cuddie. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 10:00am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or American Diabetes Association.
