Ruth M. LaLonde

Mrs. LaLonde passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her family. Age 86 years. The daughter of the late Fred and Ethel (Cox) Nantais was born December 3, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan. Mrs. LaLonde was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary the Assumption Church. She enjoyed birdwatching, doing crossword puzzles and watching Detroit Tigers baseball on T.V. Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband; Charles E. LaLonde whom she married August 28, 1948, three sons; Edward (Vickie) LaLonde, Bill (Pam) LaLonde and John (Brenda) LaLonde, her grandchildren; Heather (Justin) Heidtman, Charlie (Shari) LaLonde, Melanie (Bill) Flynn, Kevin Hoeppner, Aurora (Brandon) Hudson, Lauren (Tadd) Behmlander, Bill (Kelly) LaLonde, Amy (Gabe) Blair, her great grandchildren; Collin, Dylan, Henry, William, Billy, Makalah, Mark, Alexandria, Emma, Abraham, Mariah, Jase, Journey, Alexis, Savannah and Farrah, one niece; Sue Drake. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother; William Nantais. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary the Assumption Church 607 E. South Union St., Bay City, MI 48706. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick Jankowiak with the Rite of Committal following at St. Patrick's Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. LaLonde will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
