Ruth M. Meyer

Meyer, Ruth M. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Meyer passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 91 years. She was born May 5, 1921 in Bay City, MI. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church. Mrs. Meyer was a door to door Avon salesperson for over 15 years, enjoyed following Linda Lee and the Gold Jackets Polka Band and following other Polka Bands across the Midwest, also enjoyed playing on various bowling leagues at Zion Lanes and making crafts. She is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Nancy and James Coppler of Bay City and Janet and Albert Creal of Yorktown, VA; five grandchildren, Bethany (Brent) Gettel, David (Jenea') Coppler, Stephen Coppler, Paul (Corinne) Creal and Carie (Hal) Lloyd, eleven great grandchildren, one sister, Arlene Ponitz of Texas and one sister-in-law, Lois Mueller of Bay City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold A. Meyer on November 23, 2005, one sister and one brother. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. John W. Wernecke with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home on Saturday to greet family and friends from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services. Memorial Cards for Zion Lutheran Church Sound and Video Fund will be available at the funeral home.
