Ruth, I. Nutt - Roe Bay City, Michigan Ruth passed away Sunday afternoon August 16, 2015 at her residence with her loving family at her side. Age 88 years. The daughter of the late Henry and Gladys (Stevens) Ryman was born August 25, 1926 in Saginaw, Michigan and has resided in Bay City most of her life. She was a longtime member of Kawkawlin Community Church, was formerly employed at Mercy Hospital, General Hospital and completed her career in the nursing field at Bay Medical Center. She had a great love for caring for her yard making sure there were no weeds in her gardens, enjoyed the family Sunday drives, knitting, reading, her lunches with her nursing friends and most of all Ruth cherished the time she spent with her family. Left behind to cherish her memories are one son and one daughter-in-law; Dan and Chris Nutt, two daughters and one son-in-law; Sue Ann Hodder and Linda and Leonard Ehmcke, one step son and two step daughters-in-law; Fred and Bonnie Roe and Donna (Nutt) DeCarlo, one step daughter; Paula Rice, seven grandchildren; Alisa Nutt, Brian (Carrie) Nutt, Gina (Trevor) Morin, Chad Hodder, Joshua Hodder, Lenny (Tricia) Ehmcke and Rachel (Kurt) Schmidt, twelve great grandchildren, one sister; Donna Grainger, one brother and two sisters-in-law; Harold and Mary Ryman and Betty Ryman, step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. On September 18, 1948 she married Harold Nutt and he preceded her in death on November 21, 1977 and then she married; Mike Roe on August 3, 1991 and he preceded her in death on April 28, 1999. Ruth was also preceded in death by her stepchildren; David Nutt, Betty Fork and Harold (Bo) Nutt, one sister; Margaret Ryman and two brothers; Jack Ryman and Jr. Ryman. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heartland Hospice, Visiting Nurses especially Mike and Linda for the kind and compassionate care they provided to Ruth during the time they cared for her. Funeral Services will take place Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Kawkawlin Community Church 311 E. Grove St. Kawkawlin, MI. Officiating will be Pastor Charles F. Campbell Jr. with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Ruth will be taken to the church to lie in state on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
