RuthAnn Lane

Mrs. RuthAnn Lane, of Bay City, passed away on Wednesday morning, October 29, 2014, at Bay Shores Nursing Center following a lengthy but courageous battle with cancer, age 67 years. The daughter of the late Edwin and Lucy (Goss) Behrmann, she was born on December 4, 1946 in Bay City. On August 1, 1964 RuthAnn married Russell C. Lane and he preceded her in death on November 19, 2006. She has been a lifelong member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church where she was active with the Choir and Ladies Aid. RuthAnn enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. RuthAnn is survived by her four children, David (Kathy) Lane of Bay City, Jonathan (Mary) Lane of Midland, Philip (Peggy) Lane of Bay City and Abbey Lane of Bay City; 12 grandchildren, Samantha (Kyle), Halley (Matt), Zach (Cora), Liz, Alex (Emily), Russell, Randi (Brandon), Nicholas, Daniel, Joslynn, Genevie and Colin; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy (Marv) Appold; four brothers, Ed (Jean) Behrmann, Bill (Mary Jo) Behrmann, Oscar (Patricia) Behrmann and James Behrmann; three sisters-in-law, Pam Behrmann, Lynn Behrmann and Joan Behrmann; and many nieces and nephews. RuthAnn was also preceded in death by a sister, Sally Nagel; and three brothers, Robert, Gerald and Carl Behrmann. RuthAnn's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Pastor's Schweppe and Schaewe for their kindness and spiritual support during her illness, and also to everyone at the Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund for the assistance they provided. It was RuthAnn's desire for cremation to take place. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, 706 W. Jane St. Officiating will be Rev. Paul E. Schweppe. Private inurnment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
