Sally Ann Wolverton Bay City, Michigan Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully Friday morning July 1, 2016 at her home with her family at her side. Age 90 years. The daughter of the late Elmer and Mary (Markel) Redwantz was born January 31, 1926 in Munger, Michigan. She was a member of All Saints Parish-St. Boniface Church and retired from Bay Medical Care Facility as a nursing assistant. Sally was an avid reader, bowler, and most of all she enjoyed good times with her family and watching her grandchildren play baseball. Left to cherish her memories are six children; Wayne and Karen Wolverton of Gladwin, Bill and Nancy Wolverton of Alexandria, Virginia, Don Wolverton of Bay City, Mike and Fran Wolverton of Bay City, Mary and Brad Harding of Bay City and Patti Wolverton of Bay City, eight grandchildren; Bret, Heather, Tyler, Amberhen, Quinn, Drew, Brandon and Alisha, three great grandchildren, one sister and brother-in-law; Donna and Richard Eymer, brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Jim and Gerrie Wolverton and many nieces and nephews. On April 26, 1947 she married Donald B. Wolverton and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2008. Besides her parents Elmer and Mary she was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law; Louis and Marilyn Redwantz and two sisters and one brother-in-law; Marie and Mick Stein and Lucille Rhule. The Wolverton family would like to thank McLaren Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice, Chris, Tammy and especially our sister Patti for the love, and the kind and compassionate care that was provided to our Mom since dad's passing. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, July 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Parish-St. Boniface Church 510 N. Lincoln St. Bay City, MI. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Stephen J. Fillion with the Rite of Committal following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The Family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. to receive visitors on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. A time of sharing memories will take place Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Wolverton will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Wishes of the Family.
