Sandra Kay Binder (Simmons)

Sandra passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Brittney Manor in Midland at the age of 77 years. Sandra was born in Bay City on October 4, 1942 to the late Charles and Inez (Yonker) Simmons. She worked as a real estate agent in Grayling for many years and also worked for the State of Michigan with the DEQ and DNR. She enjoyed volunteering and was active in her church in Bay City and St. Augustin in Howell, Michigan. Sandra enjoyed sketching and was a wonderful artist. She also enjoyed camping, playing cards in card clubs and was a wonderful cook.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Larry; children, James, Rick (Paula) and Steve (Kathy) Sauve and Adam Simmons; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Simmons; brothers, Charles (Vivian) and Dwight (Mary) Simmons and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Vescio.
Funeral and committal services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Andreas Teich with private burial in Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
