Sandra Kay DeAvery

Sandra passed away peacefully on Wednesday Morning, April 10, 2024 at Bayfield Assisted Living and Memory Care in Bay City, Michigan at the age of 77. She was born on June 7, 1946 to the late Jackson and Stephanie (Koblinski) Gallery in Saginaw, Michigan. She retired from the Bangor School System as a School Aide for many years. She enjoyed making baby blankets and hats for McLaren Bay Region Hospital. She was a lover of dogs, crocheting and reading.

Sandra is survived by her son, Joseph (Lisa) DeAvery; daughter, Shannon Nelson; grandsons, Mason Nelson and Logan Nelson; sisters, Beverly Quaderer and Frances (Jack) Eycleshymer; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph DeAvery who passed away in 2010; three brothers and one sister.

Funeral Service for Sandra will take place on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home with cremation to take place after. The family will be present to receive visitors at the Gephart Funeral Home on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
