Sandra Lee Thibo "Sandy"

In Loving Memory of a Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Friend, and Pillar of the Community
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a truly remarkable woman, whose presence in our lives brought joy, comfort, and inspiration. Sandra Lee Thibo was a cherished wife, devoted mother, adored grandmother to four grandkids and two granddogs, and a loyal friend to many. She graced this world with her boundless love and generosity and peacefully departed on July 21st, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and compassion.
Born on September, 25th 1957, Sandy lived a life dedicated to service and touched countless lives in her various roles. As the Aquatic Director for Delta College, she not only excelled in her profession but also positively impacted the lives of her students and colleagues. Her passion for water activities and her commitment to creating a nurturing environment made her a beloved figure in the college community.
Her family was her pride and joy, and Sandy showered them with love and care. As a mother, she offered unwavering support and guidance to her children, and as a grandmother, she cherished every moment with her grandkids and grand dogs. Her presence at family gatherings filled the room with warmth and laughter, leaving lasting memories for all those fortunate enough to share in her love.
Beyond her family, Sandy was a treasured friend to many. Her infectious spirit and caring nature drew people close to her, and she formed lasting connections wherever she went. She was a beacon of light in times of darkness, offering a listening ear and a compassionate heart to all who sought her comfort.
Her dedication to her faith was evident in her involvement with the Westminster Presbyterian Church. As a Deacon and Stephen Minister, she selflessly served and supported her church community. The chairmanship of the self-proclaimed Garden Committee showcased her love for gardening and her desire to cultivate beauty and growth in both nature and in the lives of those around her.
In her leisure time, Sandy found solace and joy in her hobbies. Gardening was not only a passion but also a therapeutic outlet that allowed her to create beauty with her hands. Indulging in chocolates was a delightful treat she savored, and camping trips with friends and family provided cherished moments of camaraderie and connection with nature.
The loss of Sandy leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her, but her memory will forever shine brightly in our hearts. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion, inspiring us to be better, more compassionate individuals.
Sandy is survived by her husband Randy Thibo, her 3 children Danielle (Kori) Tacey, Amanda (Shane) Fisher, Tyler (Brianna) Thibo 2 grandkids Rose and Jonathan and honorary family members Laura (Jordan), Meadow, Forest, Lusia, and Andres, and granddogs Piper and Bailey. Her mother Marcia LeTourneau and her 4 siblings and her special friends.
Sandy is proceeded in death by her Father Louis LeTourneau, and Sister in Christ Sue Gustafson.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Sandy's life will be held on August, 4th at 11:00 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held on August 3rd at Gephart Funeral Home from 3 pm to 8 pm and at Westminster from 10-11 before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, as Sandy was a passionate advocate for helping others.
As we bid farewell to this wonderful woman, let us remember the light she brought into our lives and carry that light forward in her memory.
Rest in peace, dear Sandy. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
