Scott Hacker, age 66, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 30, 2025, after a long fight with cancer. Scott was born on November 20, 1958, In Bay City, Michigan. He is survived by his son, Kyle Hacker, as well as his mother, Joanne Hacker, brother, Mark Hacker; brother, Bryon (Angie) Hacker; sister-in-law, Dinah Horning; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ingrid Hacker; father, Doug Hacker; brother-in-law, Fred Klemm; and mother-in-law, Diata Gordon.
Scott was a man who loved the outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, riding an ATV, or just relaxing on a boat, he was in his element. Scott was down-to-earth and greatly admired; but above all, he put family first. Being the youngest of three siblings, he credits everything he learned in life, good and bad, to them and was proud to pass these things to his beloved son, including his resilience, which in the face of cancer is a testament to his strength, which allowed him to be present and a source of support for his family.
Funeral service for Scott will take place at Gephart Funeral Home on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Dwight W. Kingsbury. The family will be present to receive visitors from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Private interment will take place at a later date at Floral Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity.
