Shirley Jean Pigeon

Mrs. Shirley Jean Pigeon, of Essexville, passed away Thursday morning, April 3, 2014 at the Bay Medical Care Facility, age 73.  The daughter of the late Aldred A. & Annabell G. (Brown) Lees, she was born June 21, 1940 in Battle Creek, MI.  Shirley was previously employed at radio station WSGW A.M.
On September 23, 1961 Shirley married Paul R. Pigeon and he survives her.  She is also survived by two brothers, Alan Lees and Jerry Lees; an uncle, Donald (Pat) Brown; and many cousins, nieces & nephews.
Shirley's family would like to express their sincere thanks to Shirley's friends for their care and compassion during her illness.
In keeping with Shirley's wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.  Officiating will be Chaplain Doug Bassett.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. www.gephartfuneralhome.com
