Shirley B. Piotrowski

Shirley B. Piotrowski, of Bay City, was greeted in Heaven by her beloved son, Donald W. Piotrowski, on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region, age 90. The daughter of the late Albert and Beatrice Roese, she was born on March 7, 1926 in Bay City. Shirley was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. She enjoyed word-search, romance novels and the game-show network.
On July 24, 1948, Shirley married Samuel H. Piotrowski and he survives her passing along with their two daughters, Kathryn Diebel of Bay City and Karen (Robert) Fischer of Saginaw; four grandchildren, Jason (Kari) Diebel, Cassandra (Jason) Maude, Caryn Diebel and Jeffrey Fischer; six great-grandchildren, Samuel, Caleb, Claire, Benjamin, Jaxson and Grayson; a sister-in-law, Patricia Micho, of Gladwin; several nieces and nephews and her special companion, her cat Socks. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Beatrice (Walz) Roese; and her son, Donald W. Piotrowski in 1999.
The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Our Lady of Peace Parish - St. Mary's Church. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. George. J.Serour. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Piotrowski will lie instate at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
