Shirley M. Schroeder

Shirley passed away peacefully at her residence with her family by her side on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at the age of 92. She was born to the late William and Selma (Pahnke) Gust in Bay City, Michigan on October 23, 1930. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She loved traveling, playing bingo, going to the casino and playing cards with her family.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Marty) Billingsley and special friend, Robert Ireland; granddaughters, Alisha (Kevin) Phillips and Tara (Joshua) Federspiel; great granddaughters, Bella and Addison Phillips and Alexis and Maci Betzold; brother, Frank (Deloris) Gust and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Schroeder; son, Jack Schroeder; brothers, Fred Gust, William Gust and Martin Gust and sister, Ruth Gust.

Funeral Service for Shirley will be taking place on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home. Pastor Kevin Jones will be officiating. Private interment will be taking place at a later date at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday at the Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's name to the Bay County Humane Society.
