Shirley M. Wendland

Shirley passed away Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Close To Home at the age of 91 years. She was born on January 31, 1928 to the late Leonard and Laura (Gregory) Norman who were the owners of the Three Sisters Restaurant where Shirley was the last remaining sister. She was a member of Holy Trinity - Corpus Christi Parish. Shirley married Martin Wendland Jr. on November 23, 1950 and he preceded her in death on December 30, 1983. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, old movies, playing cards and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her three daughters, Amy (Mark) Jezak, Laury (Rick) Mindykowski and Meg Wendland; grandchildren, Marcy and Matthew Jezak, Joel and Carly Mindykowski; brother-in-law, Andrew (Barb) Wendland and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Edith (Harold) Vogel and Johann (Norm) Pawloski; brother, Jack Norman and sister-in-law, Irma Norman.
Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Corpus Christi Parish. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Kevin N. Kerbawy with private burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
