Sister Jean Marie Jeziolkowski of Adrian, MI died on May 10, 2012, at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian, Mich. She was 81 years of age and in the 62nd year of her religious profession: 23 years with the Felician Sisters of Livonia, Mich., and 39 years in the Adrian Dominican Congregation. Sister Jean Marie was born in Alpena, Mich., to Zigmund and Bernice (Lewandowski) Jeziolkowski. She graduated from Felician Academy in Detroit, Mich.; received a bachelor of arts degree in American history from Madonna College in Livonia, Mich.; a master of arts degree in education/American history from University of Detroit (Detroit-Mercy) in Detroit, Mich., and a specialist education degree in administration from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. Sister ministered for 27 years in elementary education in Detroit, Cedar, Kawkawlin, Lansing and Bay City, Mich. She was principal for six years at Holy Rosary School in Cedar and three years at St. Valentine School in Kawkawlin, Mich. She was director of religious education for 29 years at Holy Trinity Parish in Bay City. Sister became a resident of the Dominican Life Center in Adrian, Mich., in 2010. Sister Jean Marie is survived by three sisters, Louise Morrison of West Covina, Calif, Carolyn Jeziolkowski, an Adrian Dominican Associate of Adrian, Mich., and Sister Genevieve Jeziolkowski, an Adrian Dominican Sister. A Memorial Liturgy will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert S. Gohm.
