Mr. Fork passed away Monday evening, May 27, 2019 surrounded by his family, at the age of 92 years. The son of the late Charles and Marie Fork was born January 9, 1927 in Danville, Illinois. Stanley retired from Peet Packing Co. after 23 years of service and Allen Medical Building after 25 years of service. Stanley was a member of the Haass Hunting Club in Alpena, MI for 41 years. Stanley enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and he was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with his dog and best friend Ceasar. But he will be mostly remember for the love he had for his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and being a kind and outgoing person. He proudly served his country in the Merchant Marines and the U.S. Marine Corp during W.W. II.
Left to cherish his memories are his children and their spouses, Karen and Robert Schofield, Stanley and Kimberlee Fork Jr.; his grandchildren and their spouses, Timothy and Patricia Schofield, Heather and Christopher Schnapp, Bryan and Mary Fork, Aaron and Crystal Fork, Katelin and Ben Roberts; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; he will be sadly missed by his niece and her husband, Cherrie and Richard Reid. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Jennie (Kalinoff) Fork; his twin brother, Edgar Fork and his sister, Katherine Wackerle.
Funeral Services will take place, Monday, June 3, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Mary Ann Helie with Burial and Military Honors following in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 o'clock Noon until the time of services.
