Stanley T. Mac Donald

Stanley passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Bayfield Assisted Living. Age 97 years. The son of the late Richard and Marcella (Kirkconnell) Mac Donald was born October 12, 1919 in Shepherd, MI. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church-West Campus. Stanley retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Letter Carrier. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Stanley enjoyed golfing, camping and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Michael (Marcine) Mac Donald, Pat (Patty) Mac Donald, Dave (Marie) Mac Donald, Mary Dominowski and Marty Weiler; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews; his special friend and companion, Sally Preston. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Mac Donald; one son, Paul Mac Donald; one daughter, Kathy Norton; three brothers and two sisters. The family would like to extend a special Thank you to the staff of McLaren Visiting Nurse Services and Hospice and Bayfield Assisted Living for the kind and compassionate care our loved one received during his time of need. At the request of Stanley, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church-West Campus 4267 S. Two Mile Rd. Bay City, MI 48706. The family will be present at the church on Saturday to receive family and friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Grace United Methodist Church-West Campus.
