Stella S. Neering

Stella S. Neering, of Bay City, passed away Monday morning, May 22, 2017, at McLaren Bay Region, age 76. The daughter of the late Martin and Ella (Lindsay) Hurshman, she was born on March 23, 1941 in Williamston, Michigan. Stella was a well-known tax consultant for 47 years in Bay City. Her last company that she owned was Computerized Program Accounting. Stella was a member of Eagles Club Auxiliary #1010. She was a very caring and thoughtful person, who never turned down someone in need. For many years Stella was an avid caregiver and donator to the residents of local nursing homes. She was always spreading God's love.
Stella is survived by four children, Pam (John) Jankens, Ed (Jody) Neering, Ray (Vera) Neering and Pat Neering; her 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Coley. Besides her parents, Stella was also preceded in death by a daughter, Laurel Boyle; a sister, Patricia Ruff; a very special aunt, Sara Sophia Bonnell; and her late husband, Edward R. Neering.
The Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Redeeming Love Christian Embassy. Officiating will be Pastor Jeff Englehart. Private interment will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
