Steven B. Heska

Steven passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Covenant Health Care-Harrison. Age 36 years. Steven was born on October 15, 1982 in Bay City, Michigan; he was an amazing father to his son Ethan, has a strong wit and sense of humor and was dedicated to Christ. He loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and train spotting with his son Ethan.
Steven is survived by his son, Ethan Heska; Ethan's mother, Kristen; father, Rick (Lenore) Heska; mother, Susan (David) McCave; one brother, Andrew Heska; step brother, Shaun McCave; two step sisters, Shelby Wyant and Meagan (Andrew) Pittelkow; grandparents, Gary (Barbara) Heska; step grandmother, Connie Shaffer; numerous aunts and uncles and his dog, Brucey. Steven was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Headley and his step grandfather, Larry Shaffer.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Nate Polzin. Private Committal will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Omer, MI. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for the American Diabetes Association will be available at the funeral home.
