McAlister, Steven Howard Bay City, Michigan Mr. McAlister passed away Saturday September 15, 2012 at University of Michigan Medical Center at the Age 58 years. He was born May 28, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan. Steve attended from East Detroit High School, was an avid CB Radio enthusiast and his handle was "Baracuda", he enjoyed working on cars and was formerly employed at Car Quest in Bay City. He is survived by two daughters; Chrissy Harthausen and her fiancée Terry Coon and Lisa McAlister, one son; John McAlister and his special friend Tiffany, two grandchildren; Jacob McAlister and Katie Harthhausen, his parents; Hardy and Kathleen "Katie" McAlister of Livingston, TN, two sisters; Jenny Thorner of Pensacola, FL and Anita and Bill Schmidt of Arab, Alabama, his nieces and nephews; Amanda and Jason Dherin, Don Thorner III, Nick Schmidt, Dan and Lindsey Schmidt, great nieces and nephews; Savannagh Schmidt, Cameron and Jonah Dherin, many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother; David McAlister. A Memorial Service will take place Friday, September 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson. At the request of the family cremation has taken place and private inurnment will take place in Moffatt Township Cemetery, Alger, Michigan at a later time. The family will be present at the Funeral home on Friday to receive visitors from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to the Wishes of the Family.
