Mr. Stuart Napoleon Dansereau, age 100, of Bay City, passed away Friday morning March 20, 2015 at Wellspring Lutheran Services of Frankenmuth. The son of the late Ernest and Mary (Vallier) Dansereau, he was born on July 17, 1914 in Flint. Stuart served with the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked and retired from Bay City Chevrolet after over 30 years of employment. Stuart was a longtime member of Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church, as well as a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Frankenmuth. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2740 in Essexville. He has resided in Frankenmuth for the last 3 ½ years. Stuart is survived by a sister, Lorraine Kohn, also residing at Wellspring in Frankenmuth; four nieces, Carolyn (George) Goodchild of West Branch, Sr. Roxane Dansereau of Bay City, Mary (Jay) Pearsall of Essexville and Joann Dansereau of Bay City; two nephews, Ernest Kohn of Tennessee and Brian (Denise) Dansereau of Bay City; and great-nieces and nephews, Chad (Rebecca) Goodchild of New York, Jeffiny (Steve) Shutts of Kansas City and Janae (LeRoy) Newland of Midland. Besides his parents, Stuart was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest Dansereau and Laurence Dansereau; and a sister, Phidaelus Fournier. The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert S. Gohm with the Rite of Committal followed by Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council at St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. On Sunday the KofC will conduct their Bible Presentation and Resolution of Condolence at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Parish Vigil Service. Mr. Dansereau will lie instate at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Corpus Christi Parish.
