Suzie passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family. Age 55 years. The daughter of the late Jesus and Augustina (Amador) Escamilla was born December 14, 1963 in Bay City, Michigan. Suzie was a member of Bay Valley Christian Church and was retired from St. Mary's Hospital. She was a lifelong committed mother and softball fan, player and coach for ten years. Suzie enjoyed flowers, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She was strong willed and feisty like her mother and the anchor in many people's lives.

Suzie is survived by her husband of 18 years Benjamin Lee Woods; two sons, Jeremy (Dahlia) Escamilla and Steven Woods and his significant other, Aimee Donahue; one daughter, Princess Brianna Augustina Woods; ten grandchildren, Sergio Deleon, Selene Deleon, Vivianna Deleon, Cameron Baldwin, Mariano Escamilla, Marcello Escamilla, Mia Escamilla, Alivia Escamilla, Benito Escamilla and Javier Escamilla; brothers and sisters, Juanita Escamilla, Martha (Del) Paiz, Maria (Mahmould) Aldaoud, Juanita (Bob) Miller, Augustina Arroyo, Ben (Kathy) Escamilla, Joe (Mary) Escamilla, Victoria Garcia, Bobby (Maryann) Escamilla, Tony (Deb) Escamilla, Larry Escamilla, Gloria (Randy) Willis, George (Jessica) Escamilla; brother-in-law, Andrew Stewart; father-in-law, Thomas J. Woods; mother-in-law, Martha Jane Williams. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Escamilla, Jessie Escamilla and Frank Escamilla; one sister, Ebita Stewart; nephew, A.J. Stewart and her great niece, Faith Monville.

Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Bay Valley Christian Church. Officiating will be Pastor David S. Ferranti. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family or the American Cancer Society.
