Ted R. Tomczak

Mr. Tomczak passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side at the age of 83 years. Ted was born on March 10, 1935 in Linwood to the late John and Kunegundra Mary (Gelniak) Tomczak. He married the former Norma Ann Weber on July 30, 1955 in Bay City and have been married for 63 years. Ted was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church for many years. Ted worked and retired in 1990 after 33 years from the Bay County Road Commission. In his spare time he enjoyed being up north at their home in Au Gres, fishing, hunting, camping and being outside feeding the deer and turkeys.
Ted is survived by his wife, Norma; children, Dennis (Barb), Debra (Tim) Neumeyer), Darla (Randy) Pembroke and Burt (Patti); granddaughters, Amanda (Craig) Wilson, Kristina (Jason) Diaz, Jennifer (Eric) Zielinski and Kimberly (Tyler) Young; great grandson, Xander Diaz; brother, Robert Fischer. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Frank, Edward, Walter, Laurence, Florian Tomczak, Julia McPeak, Mary Hycki, Rosalie Kozlowski, Florence Scott, Helen Wilcox, Angeline Wardynski and Cecelia Wardynski.
Funeral Liturgy and committal will take place on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Kelm with cremation to take place following the mass. Friends may visit with the family at the Gephart Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Tomczak will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make a memorial contribution to the Corpus Christi Parish or the Shriners Children's Hospital.
