Thelma A. Burke

Thelma A. Burke passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Cranberry Park Assisted Living in Clio, MI at the age of 93 years. Thelma was born on February 5, 1925 in Yale, MI to the late John and Mary (Brown) Dean. She married Raymond Burke on August 7, 1942 and they shared 51 years together before Ray's passing on June 13, 1994.
Thelma is survived by her five children, Linda (Marty) Crane, Bob (Cyndy) Burke, Sally Martin, Don (Robbie) Burke and Sandy (Mark) Stickler; grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Crane, Brian (Trisha) Crane, Jamie Burke, Scott (Alison) Martin, Greg (Nicole) Martin, Julie Lyle, Christopher (Amy) Burke, Jennifer Burke, Alyssa Burke, Amanda (Kevin) Michalzuk and Meghan Stickler (Mike Neill); great grandchildren, Evan and Aiden Crane, MacKenzie Crane, Collin (Crane) Hervey, Sean, Tom, Tim, Vicky, and Brady Martin, Erin Martin, Kelsey and Kaden Zimmerman, Elizabeth Cooper, Ray Lyle, Nathan and Jacob Burke; brothers, Jack (Deloris) Dean and Bill (Gerry) Dean; sister-in-law, Laura Burke and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Thelma was also preceded in death by her sister, Lenora (Leonard) Meyer; brother, Jay Dean; brothers-in-law, Warren and George Burke; sisters-in-law, Jennie (Howard) Shook, Marge Ewald, Tess Burke and Esther Burke.
Per Thelma's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. officiating will be Chaplain Eric Carlson. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
