Thelma Jane Muir

Muir, Thelma Jane Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Muir passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, June 15, 2013 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 94 years. She was born January 8, 1919 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. She was a life member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church where she involved in the Cradle Roll program for many years. Thelma was employed at Learman, Learman and McCulloch Law firm in Bay City and Saginaw for many years, she was a master cross stitcher, she had a great love for knitting for the new born baby's at the hospital and enjoyed playing bingo. She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law; Dr. William W. Muir III and Dr. Alicia Bertone of Columbus, OH and Tom and Linda Muir of Charlotte, six grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law; Rea and Ray Schwall of Bay City and many dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Captain William W. Muir II. Funeral and Committal Service will take place Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Paul E. Schweppe with private interment Green Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Muir will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Memorial cards for St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church will be available at the funeral home.
