Anderson, Thomas H. "Tom" Bay City, Michigan Mr. Anderson passed away Wednesday evening, December 3, 2014, at McLaren Bay Region, at 81 years of age. The son of the late Adolph and Alma Anderson was born October 6, 1933, in Bay City. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Amelith, served as an elder, was a member of the school board, served four terms on the finance committee, as well as various other committees and sang in the church choir. Mr. Anderson coached Amelith boys' baseball for eight years. He Retired from Wright-K Technology. Mr. Anderson enjoyed woodworking and made several things for the entire family. He also read many books. Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife the former; Joann N. Kloha whom he married February 28, 1953, four children and their spouses; Wendy and Dean Largent of Spokane, WA, Linda and Karl Briggs of Freeland, Randy and Teri Anderson of Henderson, NV, William and Beth Anderson of Bay City, ten grandchildren, ten step grandchildren, five great grandchildren, thirteen step great grandchildren, one sister-in-law; Margie Anderson of Yuma, AZ, niece Carolyn McPeak, and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding him in death were, one son, Donald Anderson; one brother, Richard Anderson; and one nephew, Dennis Anderson. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church of Amelith. Officiating will Rev. Stephen P. Starke with interment following in the church cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Anderson will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
