Thomas John Ash, born on November 4, 1959 in Alpena, Michigan, to Patricia Jo Ash, passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2025, after a short battle with illness. He was 65 years old.

Thomas is lovingly remembered by his significant other, Julie Tomlinson; his three daughter, Jamie (Keith) Szostek, Sara (Bob) Richardson, and Raelynn Kaufmann; and his 16 grandchildren: Alexis (Logan) Metzke, Hallie Ludwiczak, Zoie Ludwiczak, Wyatt Richardson, Braxton Richardson, Kyle Szostek, Andrew Szostek, Cailee Szostek, Kaden (Marissa) Szostek, Ashlynn Szostek, Logan Szostek, Lillianna Szostek, JoyAnna Szostek, Chloe Szostek, Jacob Szostek and Ella Szostek. He was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Levi, Waylon, Beau and Dutton Metzke. Thomas is further survived by his siblings Lorrie Ash, Kathy Cole and Jim (Jan) Ash, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, including a special nephew Rob (Bobby) McKenzie.

Thomas retired from Walmart after more than 20 years of dedicated service. Earlier in life, he proudly served in the National Guard for several years. Outside of work and service to his country, Thomas found joy in fishing and camping. He cherished spending time outdoors and creating lasting memories with his children and grandchildren.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Thomas’s life will be held in late spring or early summer to honor his memory and the love he shared with those around him.

Thomas will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to his loved ones and serve as a reminder of a life well-lived.
