Mr. Thomas E. "Tom" Biskner, of Bay City, passed away early Monday morning, February 1, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region, age 71. The son of the late Joseph and Angeline (Rytlewski) Biskner, he was born March 14, 1944 in Bay City, MI. Mr. Biskner retired from Dow Chemical Company. He enjoyed collecting and restoring antique toys, playing golf, and was an avid Detroit Lion's fan.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of fifty years, the former Rita J. VanDeusen; three children, Susan (Scott) Weidman, Julie (Douglas Marshall) Biskner and Tom (Kerice Basmadjian) Biskner; his grandchildren, Alexandria Biskner, Valarie ("The Rose") Weidman, Ewan Marshall and Summer Sanders; two brothers, Richard (Marlene) Biskner and William (Marlene) Biskner; his mother-in-law, Roberta VanDeusen; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Eileen (John) Katt, Herb (Barbara) VanDeusen, Ken (Marie) VanDeusen and Lorraine Kratz; many nieces and nephews and his beloved Lucy Belle. In addition to his parents Tom was also preceded in death by his brothers, George "Gerb" (Kay) Biskner and Larry Biskner; and his father-in-law, Merle VanDeusen.
At the request of Mr. Biskner cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Redeeming Love Christian Embassy, 3051 Kiesel Rd., Bay City, 48706. Officiating will be Rev. A. James Engelhart. The family will be present at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Wishes of the Family.
