Mr. Collins passed away in his sleep at his home with his wife at his side. Age 74 years. Thomas was born July 30, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 324. He worked as a crane operator from July 23, 1954 on May 6, 1985 he became a business agent until his retirement on January 1, 1998. Thomas enjoyed spending time with his wife at their winter home in Florida and spending the summers in Michigan. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda J. (Mosher) Collins; Children, Debbie (Craig) Coxe, Pam (Steve) Shuck, Bobby (Joanne) Collins, Kate Collins and Dede (Bill) Annand; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; step children, John Berthiaume, Jim (Lori) LeBourdais, Joy LeBourdais (Tim Linda); four step grandchildren; one sister, Barb (Dr. Terry) Johnson. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Kay Collins and his brother, Dennis Collins. At the request of Mr. Collins cremation has taken place and there will be no services at the funeral home.
