Thomas Gary Gravlin, aka "Snitz" "Teedle", of Linwood, MI, passed away from complications due to Primary Amyloidosis on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, age 65. He was born March 12, 1947 in Bay City. Tom served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Bay City Powertrain on September 30, 1999. Tom was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He was also a member of H.O.G. and the N.R.A. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles and spending time with his grandchildren and his dogs. Tom is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cindy (Moser) Gravlin; his children, Tina Gravlin (Paul Peil) of Bay City, Tommy Gravlin (Jorgette) of Bay City and Wendy (Pablo) Gonzalez of Washington; grandchildren, Lee, Robert, Brett, Mac, Cruz, Fernando and Maricela; a great-grandson, Chauncy; several kids that called him Grandpa Tom & Uncle Duck; two sisters, Duana (Dwight) McCulloch and Michelle (Don) Houpt; two uncles and two aunts; several nieces and nephews; a special cousin, Terry Jacobson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenda (Mike) Brunette, Kathy (Jim) Maciejewski and Ken Moser; his step father-in-law, Dick Schultz; and his beloved dogs. Tom was loved by many friends and blessed by his special friends and angels from Minnesota, Pam & Jeff Anderson. He will be missed by all. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Tom & Mary Gravlin and Arlene & George Karnath; mother-in-law, Nancy Schultz; and father-in-law, Glenn Moser. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Faith Lutheran Church, 3033 Wilder Rd., Bay City. Officiating will be Rev. Daniel C. Meckes with graveside interment at Fremont Cemetery followed by Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mr. Gravlin will lie in-state at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
