Thomas John Gray "Tom"

Tom passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Corewell Health Grand Rapids Hospital – Butterworth at the age of 66. He was born on March 4, 1958 to the late Francis and Eleanor (Wegener) Gray in Bay City, Michigan. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree from General Motors Institute (Kettering University) and continued his education at Michigan State University obtaining a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Tom started out his career at GM and left in 1989 to work for his friend Bill at Die-Tech and Engineering as an engineer. He enjoyed watching sports but Dirt track racing was his favorite, he even made several trips to the Eldora Speedway to watch it. He enjoyed spending time with family and making trips to the family cabin in Marquette.

Tom is survived by his brothers, Mickey (Mary) Gray and Rich Gray; brother-in-law, Paul (Michelle) Wilczynski; nieces, nephews and several cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Wilczynski.

Funeral service for Tom will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 510 W. Ivy Ave. Bay City, Michigan 48706, with cremation to follow. Officiating will be Pastor Phillip Baerwolf. The family will be present to receive visitors on Wednesday at the Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
