Thomas H. LaPan

Thomas passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at his residence with his family by his side at the age of 65 years. He was born on February 18, 1955 in Bay City to the late Kenneth and Margaret (Lynch) LaPan. Thomas married the former Rebecca Heppner and they were married for 38 years. He worked and retired in 2010 from Advanced Drilling as a chain hand. In his spare time he enjoyed motorcycles, sports, NASCAR, hunting and spending time with his family.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Rebecca; daughters, Melissa Bishop and Crystal LaPan; grandchildren, Marcus Chapa, Juliana Bishop, Alexander Bishop, Myah Essex and Samantha Bishop; brother, Lawrence LaPan; sisters, Deborah Coeur, Sharyn LaPan and Carol (Timothy) Hunt and many nieces and nephews. Thomas was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Craig Bishop.
Funeral and committal service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2020 at Peoples Baptist Church. Officiating will be Dr. Daniel Hester with cremation to take place following the service. Friends may visit at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
