Thomas Robert Majchrzak

Tom passed away peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at the age of 73. He was born on April 15, 1951 to the late Robert and Rita Majchrzak in Bay City, Michigan. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for a number of years and was previously a member of First Presbyterian Church. He worked in the Engineering Department and as a Streets and Bridges Superintendent for the City of Bay City for many years. Tom was involved with the Northeast Little League for nearly 20 years. He enjoyed woodworking and made wooden furniture pieces, as well as many wooden toys for kids. He also loved to go camping and traveling to the National Parks with his wife, Margaret. He was always willing to help others and loved watching sports, especially the Detroit Tigers. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his grandkids and going to their sporting events, dance recitals and many other events.

Tom is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margaret (McNab) Majchrzak; son, James (Amelia) Majchrzak; grandchildren, Emily and Andrew Majchrzak; brother and sister-in-law’s, Dennis (Melody) Caney, Janice VanNostrand, Andrew (Judith) McNab and Judith Judd; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and special friends, Ken Trabalka and Randy Tomke. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Ross and Jessie McNab and brother-in-law’s, Richard VanNostrand and Thomas Judd.

Memorial Service for Tom will take place on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be Rev. Jamie Milton and Rev. Linda Williams. The family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Gephart Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Tom’s name to the Bay County Eastside Little League or Westminster Presbyterian Church.
