Provo, Thomas Richard Bay City, Michigan Tom passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at McLaren Bay Region with his wife at his side. He was 74. Tom was born on November 24, 1937 in Garden City, Michigan to the late Joseph and Theresa (Reynaud) Provo. Tom married Terri Hoy on June 3, 1967 in Plymouth, Michigan. Tom held a variety of jobs over the years including: mechanic, siding, construction, maintenance, and many more. He retired from Herter Music Center in 1994. Tom enjoyed woodworking, gardening and working in his yard. Nothing brought him greater joy than being surrounded by his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Terri, his five children; Kelly (Jesus) Arambula, Lisa (Pete) Kundinger, Adam Provo, Lynn Brown and Lori Peloquin, his thirteen grandchildren; Chuy, Sarah, Logen, Kalib, Alex, Collin, Amanda, Drew, Christina, Heather, Kyle, Larry and Jessica and nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother; Arnold Provo, five sisters; Caroline Martin, Elaine Glynn, Bernadette Caul, Theresa Provo, Gail (Jim) Tanner and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one daughter; Patty Provo, four brothers; Joseph Provo, Reginald Provo, Jerome Provo and Roland Provo, one sister; Edith Serio, one grandson; Shawn Provo, three brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law. At the request of Tom cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Essexville Baptist Community Church. Officiating will be Rev. Richard I. Kinnamon. Visiting hours with the family will be held Friday at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
