Thomas E. Richards

Richards, Thomas E. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Richards passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at his residence. Age 78 years. The son of the late Earl and Frances (Terry) Richards was born April 5, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in midland, served in the U.S. Navy, was involved in various ministries and starting of churches in the Bay Area Baptist Association with his wife Eva and most of all Thomas truly loved the Lord. Thomas is survived by his five children, Anita (Brian) Reyes-Smith, Jesse (Stephanie Webber) Reyes, Rick Reyes, Steven P. Reyes and Michael Reyes; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two brothers, Bob and Terry Richards and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Thomas was also preceded in death by his wife, Eva; one sister, Penny Sutton and one niece, Maryjane. At the request of Mr. Richards cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday June 28, 2014 at Emmanuel Baptist Church (502 Cherry Street, Midland, MI 48640). Officiating will be Rev. Sam Hamilton. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of services.
