Smith, Thomas Wayne Bay City, Michigan Mr. Smith passed away early Wednesday morning March 30, 2016 in S. Charleston, WV while visiting family over the holiday. Age 70 years. The son of the late William M. and Alice L. (Kolb) Smith was born February 1, 1946 in Bay City and has resided here all of his life. Tom graduated from T.L. Handy High School and continued on with his education at Ferris State College. He was a member of North Euclid Church of God, R.S.E.S. and retired from Commercial Kitchen Service Co. Tom was an avid hunter and fisherman and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Left behind to cherish his memories is his wife; Jeannine, one daughter; Amie Smith of Bay City, one son and daughter-in-law; Matthew and Lesli Smith of S. Charleston, WV, one grandson; Ryan Smith, one sister; Elizabeth Peterson, two sisters-in-law; Marge Smith and Sandy Smith and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters-in-law; William and Arlene Smith, Loren and Dorothea Smith, Norman Smith and Ronald Smith and one brother-in-law; Raymond Peterson. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at North Euclid Church of God 3430 N. Euclid Bay City, MI 48706. Officiating will be Pastor Brad Windlan with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Smith will be taken to the church on Tuesday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for North Euclid Church of God will be available at the funeral home.
