Thomas F. Thorpe

Tom passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at his residence, at the age of 59 years. He was born October 3, 1959 in Bay City, Michigan. He attended Prince of Peace Parish-St. Anne Church. Tom retired from ASRC as a technician after many years of service, and his job allowed him to travel the whole United States. He was an active member of AA and was privileged to chair many meetings. Tom enjoyed telling stories to his family and friends, and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Left behind to cherish his memories are two daughters, Kayle  Thorpe and Jamie Thorpe; his fiancée, Michell Strawn; his, mother, Shirley Thorpe; his siblings, Jeanne (Kevin) Zuchnik, Carolyn (Scott) Kopka, Cheryl (Heath) Curtis and Suzie (Mike) Russell; many nieces and nephews and his faithful companion Coco. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Thorpe; his grandparents, Thomas and Gladys Thorpe and Fred and Irene Gauthier.
The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Parish (315 W. Center St., Linwood, MI 48634.) Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Nicholas F. Coffaro with cremation following. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. (201 W. Midland St., Bay City MI 48706.) on Thursday to receive family and friends from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. The vigil for the deceased will take place Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Tom will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Wishes of the Family.
