Timothy P. "Tim" Mahoney

Tim passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Mc Laren Bay Region with his family by his side, at the age of 76. He was born November 24, 1946 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Charles and Mary Ellen (Sayen) Mahoney. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and Knights of Columbus #414. Tim retired from General Motors after 38 years of service. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He had a great love for animals to include his cat, Tibithia and feeding the birds and squirrels, was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Left behind to cherish Tim’s memories are his sister, Mary Ann Mahoney; brother-in-law, Thomas Wilber Sr; his nieces and nephews, Thomas (Kelly) Wilber Jr. and Tabatha Wilber; great nieces and nephews, Evan, Collin, Madison, Hudson and Chelsea Wilber; great nieces and nephews, Kade, Mason and Rhett Wilber; very close family friends, Marie Kurzer and Barb Schaaf. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Tamara Wilber and great nephew, Cody Wilber.
At the request of Tim, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place on Friday June 2, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Dale Orlik. Military Honors will be conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will be present at the funeral home on Friday to receive family and friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Bay County Veterans Council or the Wounded Warriors Project.
