Tim passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at his residence with his family by his side. Age 64 years. The son of the late Melvin Sr. and Marilyn (McPhee) Gerard was born June 4, 1952 in Bay City, Michigan. Tim was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church. He was tri-owner of Liquid Calcium Chloride Sales in Kawkawlin. Tim had a passion for video photography, enjoyed playing paddle ball at the Y.M.C.A., sailing his catamaran, wind surfing, watching and attending Detroit Red Wing Hockey games and most of all he enjoyed taking long road trips on his motorcycle. Left behind to cherish his memories is his son, Benjamin (Amy) Gerard; his grandchildren, Grant and Myles Gerard; his brothers, Rodney (Alice) Gerard; Tyler (Pam) Gerard; Patrick (Denise) Gerard; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Randall and Melvin Gerard Jr. The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will take place Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick M. Jankowiak with private inurnment in Calvary Cemetery in Kawkawlin, MI. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Tim will be taken to the church on Tuesday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Catholic Church.
