Timothy "Tim" A. Steudle

Tim passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Hurley Medical Center with his family by his side at the age of 73. He was born in Bay City in 1951 to the late Evelyn and Robert Steudle. Tim attended Visitation Catholic school and graduated from John Glen in 1969 before starting a career in woodworking.

Tim was the second of eight kids, growing up in Bangor Township he was always playing football, baseball, or any activity to get him out of the house. He would spend summers at Little Long Lake where he met the love of this life, Sue. They got married in the summer of 1971 moved to Bay City and had two boys of their own. Tim shared his love of baseball with his boys and neighborhood kids by playing wiffle ball, hitting them grounders or playing 500. He spent his summers playing softball and trying to perfect his pitching technique for slow pitch and modified. Tim never missed the annual Blooper Ball tournament at Defoe Park, you could find him on the pitching mound throwing the sky ball or later discussing the games in the beer tent well into his 60’s. Occupying his time by playing golf, bowling and taking photos of the deer while "hunting" because they were too little to shoot. Tim also loved watching Detroit sports especially the Tigers and Lions. Tim and Sue moved to Little Long Lake for their golden years, where Tim would always welcome family and company. He loved showing anyone willing to learn how to water ski, tube or take them fishing. If you were around Tim, you couldn't help but have a great time.

 Tim was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Suzy and Joe, and is survived by his wife Sue, sons Todd and Jeff (Mo), siblings Theresa, Jack (Cheryl), Jim, Liz (Mel), and Tom and multiple nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Gephart Funeral Home with cremation following. Officiating is E.J. Brown. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
