Tracy S. Heppner, of Bay City, passed away peacefully Friday, February 5, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region with her loving family at her side. Age 51 years. The daughter of the late John Arthur and Cheryl Lee (Walls) Franklin was born February 11, 1964 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, camping, cooking and most of all she enjoyed taking care of her family and raising her daughter.
On September 8, 1991 she married Mike Heppner and he is left behind to cherish her memories along with one daughter; Elizabeth Heppner, her grandmother; Frieda Mann, her goddaughter; Emily (Cygan) DeFord, her cousin; Dawn Bublitz, her aunt; Jan Kozielski and her friend; Tina Garcia. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother; Ty A. Franklin and her grandparents; Mildred and John Walls and Art Mann.
Tracy's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her sisters-in-law's; Mary Bassett and Carleen Beaver, the staff at McLaren Bay Region 3rd floor, CCU and McLaren Visiting Nurse and Hospice for the kind and compassionate care they extended to Tracy and her family during the time they cared for her.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place Friday, February 12, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Officiating will be Rev. Charles F. Campbell. At the request of Tracy cremation has taken place at the Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City. The family will be present at the funeral home on Friday to share memories and visit with family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to "The Wishes of the Family".
