Verena P. Densmore (Marsh)

Mrs. Densmore passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017 at the Bay County Medical Care Facility. Age 95 years. Verena was born on June 3, 1922 in Bay County, Michigan to the late Matthew and Katherine Wackerle. She had been an active member of New Life Missionary Church and a volunteer for the Rescue Mission of Saginaw and the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission. She loved to cook, garden and enjoyed her retirement years camping and fishing with her husband, James C. Densmore.Mrs. Densmore is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Nancy (Ivor) Alcorn, Barbara (Simon) White, Bonnie Marsh (George Shaw), Donald Marsh; Step children, Janet Densmore and her friend, Bob Rudich, Bonnie (Richard) Love, Yvonne Aeder and her friend, Theron Orton, and son-in-law, Thomas Fiema. Also surviving are grandchildren and step grandchildren, Dana Weaver, James Marsh III, Robert L. Marsh, Jennifer Warren, Heather Dixon, Kimberly Smith, Jonathan R. Marsh, Lynnette Weidner and Jonathan Carmona as well as several great and great great grandchildren. Verena was preceded in death by her first husband, James R. "Bob" Marsh, daughter, Janice I. Marsh; son, James R. Marsh Jr.; step daughter, Judi Fiema and grandchildren, Brenda Marsh and Patrick Dixon Jr. as well as brothers and sisters, Melvin Wackerle, Leroy Wackerle, Katherine Irene Meylan, Josephine Forster, Edna Genow, Lyle Wackerle, Matthew Wackerle and Samuel Wackerle.

Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017 at New Life Missionary Church. Officiating will be Rev. Jonathan Boyer with private interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. Verena will be taken to the church to lie in state on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
