Vern passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region with his family by his side at the age of 77. He was born on August 14, 1943 to the late Edward and Anna (Jammer) Erlenbeck. He was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. He was an avid woodworker who was unable to sit still and was always doing something. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, visiting his home in Florida and spending time with his family.
Vern is survived by his wife who he married on May 25, 1968, Rosalind (Russell) Erlenbeck; three children, Laurie (Dana) Daum, Chris Erlenbeck and Sean (Lori) Erlenbeck; two grandchildren, Elijah and Nicole; three great grandchildren, Brianna, Addison and Jace; four brother's and sister's, Lyle (Katherine) Erlenbeck, Richard (Sharon) Erlenbeck, Gerald (Marilyn) Erlenbeck, Shirley Zieroff and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Vern is preceded in death by his two sisters, Nancy McColloum and Lois Balley.
At the request of Vern, cremation has taken place. A private Memorial Service will take place at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Bay City on Thursday, March 4, 2021. Donations may be made to the Bay County Veterans Council.
